Instinct, confidence, strategy: how can we support talented individuals?
Spotting talent is not enough: you need to know how to nurture it, build a career for the talent and support them over the long term. Long overlooked, the talent manager is a strategic partner, at the crossroads of artistic vision, economic development and human relations. Working alongside them, other professionals help to shape career paths, open up opportunities and create the conditions for their success. The roles involved in supporting creators are evolving: social media, AI, more autonomous artists, the rise of the creator economy… The rules are being rewritten and the boundaries between music, film, content creation and sport are becoming increasingly blurred. What is the role of the talent manager today, and how does it fit in with the other professionals who support creators? How can talent be nurtured without stifling its potential, how can artistic ambitions be reconciled with economic realities, and how can the conditions for a sustainable career be created? By bringing together the perspectives of professionals from different fields, this round-table discussion explores developments in management and the professions surrounding talent, as well as new ways of building and developing careers.

The art of living better: the under-recognised power of the cultural and creative industries
We often talk about the cultural and creative industries in terms of their economic significance, their capacity to influence, or their role in social cohesion. But in a world characterised by anxiety, hyper-connectivity and the erosion of social ties, another impact is emerging – one that is more subtle but just as essential: their contribution to well-being. Reading, music, cinema, video games, live performance and artistic practice do not merely generate value, jobs or influence. They also generate emotions, meaning, confidence, resilience and experiences that enhance our quality of life. At a time when mental health is emerging as a major societal issue, this round-table discussion aims to explore this still largely underestimated power of the creative and cultural industries: what they evoke within us. What if well-being were, in fact, the most overlooked impact of the creative economy?
